BIG DAISHOWA is looking for a Sales Engineer to join our team in New York. The successful candidate will have knowledge and background in sales, manufacturing, machine tools, or comparable industry. This position will be based in the assigned territory, preferably in the Rochester area.
Main Purpose of Position
- Develop & expand company market share through increased sales in assigned territory.
- Maintain contact with present and new customers identifying new opportunities.
- Increase brand awareness and support channel partners, machine tool dealers, end-users within the aerospace, automotive, energy, medical and general manufacturing industries.
Essential Functions
- Develop/maintain relationships with all with end-users & distribution sectors of tooling to the marketplace.
- Provide sales, technical support and product training to all users of BIG DAISHOWA products.
- Identify customer tooling requirements and make appropriate recommendations.
- Schedule daily customer appointments and follow up on customer requirements in a timely manner.
- Update of CRM software database with customer information, report daily activities and long-term projects.
Requirements
- Requires highly self-motivated individual.
- Must have positive attitude, high organizational skills & strong time management.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office products & email.
- Interest in manufacturing with basic technical aptitude. Fundamental knowledge of CNC programming is a plus.
- Must be hungry to learn.
- If little or no experience in manufacturing, must be willing to participate in several months-long extensive training program in Chicago area.
- Must communicate clearly in written and oral methods.
- Must be able to travel with overnight stays as required.
- Degree in business or technical field (2-4-year degree) preferred. High School Diploma required.

Full-time, exempt
Schedule
This is a full-time exempt position, Monday through Friday, minimum 40 hours per week. Overtime and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Travel is required.

- $65k – 80k base salary
