New Product Exclusive Preview: KAISER EWR Digital Boring Head

Get your first look at the KAISER EWR digital boring head at IMTS.

Built on the proven EWN and EWE platforms, the EWR series features a simplified design with only essential onboard electronics. All advanced functions, including energy management, data processing and visual feedback, are managed through a high-resolution, full-color external reader.

The reader connects to the EWR boring head via a magnet and displays readout in any orientation. The reader communicates using near-field communication (NFC), ensuring stable and reliable data transmission. Operators can easily switch between inch and metric modes depending on application requirements. The system offers 1 µm (.00005”)Ø resolution and a rechargeable battery that supports up to 250 adjustments or up to two months in standby mode.

A single reader can be used across multiple EWR boring heads, making it a cost-effective solution compared to digital boring heads.
