BIG DAISHOWA Introduces EWR Digital Fine Boring Heads with External Display
Hoffman Estates, IL – BIG DAISHOWA introduces EWR, its series of digital fine boring heads, expanding its portfolio of precision boring solutions with a focus on improved usability, readability and streamlined operation.
Built on the proven EWN and EWE platforms, EWR features a simplified design with only essential onboard electronics. All advanced functions, including energy management, data processing and visual feedback, are managed through the high-resolution, full-color external EWR Display.
The EWR Display connects to the EWR digital fine boring head via a magnet and displays readout in any orientation. The EWR Display communicates using near-field communication (NFC), ensuring stable and reliable data transmission. Operators can easily switch between inch and metric modes depending on application requirements. The system offers 1 μm (.00005”)Ø resolution and a rechargeable battery that supports up to 250 adjustments or up to two months in standby mode.
A single EWR Display can be used across multiple EWR digital fine boring heads, making it a cost-effective solution compared to digital boring heads.
EWR will be on display at the BIG DAISHOWA booth #431610 at IMTS in Chicago, held September 14–19, 2026 at McCormick Place.
